An Alltagsmenschen exhibition by the artists
Christel & Laura Lechner at the Deutsches Eck
In 2022, the Alltagsmenschen will visit the city where the Rhine and Moselle flow together for the first time. Koblenz is not only known for its vineyards and castle ruins, but also for its cable car, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and the electoral palace. This year, the everyday people known throughout Germany - concrete figures like you and me - will join the cityscape.

The Alltagsmenschen in Koblenz
From March 27th to July 3rd, 2022, everyday people will populate the old town of Koblenz at characteristic locations of the city.
The two artists Christel and Laura Lechner stage the visual axes of the city through its everyday people with sometimes surprisingly new perspectives, which always entice you to pause and enjoy.
Around 40 Lechner sculptures, which can be seen at 13 different locations, invite you to take a city tour through the Rhine/Mosel city.
Koblenz - the city where Rhine and Moselle meet
From March to July 2022 you can find from the electoral castle park up to the Deutsches Eck on 13 locations the Alltagsmenschen.
Whether with a polonaise in the castle park that invites you to join in, a puddle jumper on the Rhine promenade who wants to cool off her feet in the water or the American couple on the castle steps - the Alltagsmenschen of the artists Laura and Christel Lechner show touching snapshots: The life lived in its purest form. Unembellished and yet far from banality.

Koblenz connect
The art campaign initiated by the culture and school administration office of the city of Koblenz is a cultural contribution to the "downtown impulses" funded by the Ministry of the Interior and Sports.
The open-air exhibition enables all visitors to have a special cultural experience regardless of the current pandemic situation.
